At the event, judges analysed the types of administrative actions, interim measures and other instruments that natural persons and legal entities from the Member States can bring before their judicial institutions in the field of administrative justice. The topic also covered compensatory measures for damage caused by administrative authorities in the exercise of their administration, which in some countries are decided by administrative courts. In advance of the meeting in Italy, ACA-Europe members completed a questionnaire sent to the organisers on the topics of the event, and a report based on the answers of all participants to the questions posed was drawn up, which formed the basis for the discussion in the various panels. It is precisely the horizontal dialogue between representatives of the highest administrative courts and state councils of the member states, which is the central idea of the Italian presidency of ACA-Europe, that can help to standardise the methods of protecting the individual rights of citizens and companies in their relations with public authorities.<\/strong><\/p>\n “Cooperation between the European supreme judicial bodies has always made an important contribution to mutual understanding and harmonisation of national approaches to the tasks of the highest administrative judicial authorities. This time we discussed with the members of ACA-Europe in particular the possibilities and concrete instruments for ensuring judicial protection of private entities in relation to public administration, which differ from country to country, but always aim at the same goal.” Mari\u00e1n Tren\u010dan, Vice-President of the Court, said after returning from Rome, adding that the discussions were mainly about finding the limits of responsibility and compliance.<\/p>\n
