During his stay, the Judge of the Council of State also had the opportunity to meet with representatives of the Polish Supreme Administrative Court, who were on an official visit to the Supreme Administrative Court of the Slovak Republic at the time of his internship.<\/strong><\/p>\n

At the beginning of his stay in Slovakia, he was received by the Director of the Legal Aid Centre Zuzana \u0160tevulov\u00e1, with whom he discussed in particular the Slovak system of providing legal aid to citizens in need, as well as the possibilities through which people can contact the Centre. Later, Judge Rafael Greco was received by the Vice-President of the Judicial Academy of the Slovak Republic , Jozef Szab\u00f3, at the premises of the Judicial Academy. Together they discussed the Academy’s activities and the important role it plays through education.<\/p>\n

The President of the Panel of the Supreme Administrative Court Peter Pot\u00e1sch, also had several meetings with the Judge of the State Council. Together they visited the Public Procurement Office, where they participated in a meeting with its chairman, Peter Kubovi\u010d. The latter presented to the Italian judge the set-up of public procurement control in Slovakia and pointed out the planned creation of a national strategy for the development of public procurement. Another meeting, attended by the President of the Panel, Peter Pot\u00e1sch, took place at the Ministry of the Environment of the Slovak Republic.<\/p>\n

In the second half of the internship, which was organised through the European association ACA-Europe, Judge Raffaele Greco organised a lecture for judges and assistant judges of the Supreme Administrative Court on the role and functioning of administrative judges in Italy. At the end of the internship, the Italian Judge of the Council of State was received by the President of the Judicial Council of the Slovak Republic, J\u00e1n Maz\u00e1k. At the meeting they discussed several important topics. They talked about the competences of the Italian and Slovak Judicial Councils, outlined the topic of the property competences of judges, as well as the process of their selection. At the end of their meeting, they concluded that both judicial councils are endowed with powers that are the strongest in the European Union.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
