On 14 April 2025, the President of the Supreme Court J\u00e1n \u0160ikuta, met the President of the Supreme Administrative Court Pavol Na\u010f, at the Supreme Administrative Court’s premises as part of the farewell meetings. It was a symbolic meeting on the occasion of the completion of President \u0160ikuta’s function as President of the Supreme Court due to the expiry of his term of office, during which the Presidents of the two highest judicial instances evaluated their cooperation, which they both described as professional and fruitful.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Presidents also paid attention to the development of individual institutions after the amendment of the Constitution of the Slovak Republic in 2020, which resulted in the establishment of the Supreme Administrative Court as an independent supreme judicial body in matters of administrative justice. During the meeting, the President of the Supreme Court highlighted the functioning of the Supreme Administrative Court, its efficient work and the significant progress it has already achieved in the first years of its existence.<\/p>\n

President Na\u010f thanked President \u0160ikuta for the long-standing cooperation and support that the Supreme Administrative Court had felt, especially in the early days of its existence. At the same time, the President of the Supreme Administrative Court appreciated the cooperation provided by the representatives of the Supreme Court during the process of building of the new institution.<\/p>\n

The meeting also provided an opportunity to reflect on the long-term tenure of both Presidents in the judiciary and in the top position of Presidents of the courts. The President of the Supreme Court evaluated his tenure in office, recalled the vision with which he entered the position of the President and expressed his satisfaction with how he had managed to achieve his goals.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
