E. Jules Gerzon, on a courtesy visit. The main topics of the meeting were the rule of law, the reform of the Slovak judiciary, as well as the activities and performance of the Supreme Administrative Court.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">At the beginning of the meeting, the Vice-President of the Supreme Administrative Court introduced Ambassador Gerzon to the process of establishment of the Supreme Administrative Court, its functioning and jurisdiction. The Ambassador was interested in the disciplinary jurisdiction of the Court, as well as in the potential changes that the draft amendment to the Code of Disciplinary Procedure may bring in relation to the composition of the disciplinary panels. The discussion also focused on the cooperation of institutions working in the judiciary, the quality of the Slovak judicial system and the overall changes that the judiciary has been undergoing in recent years.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Ambassador Gerzon highlighted the professional work of the judges of the Supreme Administrative Court, noting that there are positive responses to the work of the court from other authorities with which he comes into contact. In this context, Vice-President Tren\u010dan emphasized that the quality of the work of the judges was also evidenced by the fact that only a very small percentage of the decisions of the Supreme Administrative Court had been quashed after review by the Constitutional Court of the Slovak Republic.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In conclusion, Ambassador Gerzon declared that the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands will continue to be committed to the issues of the rule of law, civil society and independent media during his mandate, as these constitute the basis for the development of a modern and advanced western society.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>On 15 April 2025, the Vice-President of the Supreme Administrative Court, Mari\u00e1n Tren\u010dan, welcomed the new Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to the Slovak Republic, H.
