The second episode of the Administrative Podcast is out, with legal historian Tomáš Gábriš as the guest
The topic of the new episode of the Administrative Podcast is the historical development of administrative justice in Slovakia until 1989. Together with Tomáš Gábriš, we looked at the beginnings of administrative justice in Slovakia after 1918 and gradually addressed individual historical milestones in its development to date. The guest is legal historian Tomáš Gábriš.
We begin our conversation with legal historian Tomáš Gábriš with the first law that established the Supreme Administrative Court in 1918. We will take a closer look at the values of the then Supreme Administrative Court, its powers, and what changed after the collapse of the first Czechoslovak Republic. You will learn how judges ruled during the independent Slovak State, as well as which representatives of the judiciary participated in the Slovak National Uprising. We also talk about how the Supreme Administrative Court functioned during other milestones in the development of Slovak sovereignty, the era of the demise of administrative justice in the territory of today’s Slovak Republic, its restoration after 1989, and the subsequent efforts to re-establish the Supreme Administrative Court after the collapse of the common Czechoslovak state.
