The Supreme Administrative Court of the Slovak Republic found a bailiff guilty of delays in enforcement proceedings and punished him with a fine

On January 29, 2026, the Disciplinary Panel of the Supreme Administrative Court, by its decision in case file no. 33D/6/2025, found the accused JUDr. Ivan Polák, a bailiff, guilty of a serious disciplinary offense in ten points of the disciplinary motion.

The Disciplinary Panel of the Supreme Administrative Court found the disciplinary accused bailiff guilty of a serious breach of duties in the performance of his duties as a bailiff by failing to act without unnecessary delay and failing to transfer the received funds to the obligors within the statutory period. According to the decision of the Disciplinary Panel, he thus committed a serious disciplinary offense, for which he was imposed a summary disciplinary measure – a fine of EUR 5,500.

The decision of the Disciplinary Panel was adopted unanimously. An appeal against the decision is admissible.

The case was decided by the Panel No. 33D of the Supreme Administrative Court, composed of: the President of the Panel JUDr. Viola Takáčová, PhD., LL.M., judges Prof. JUDr. Juraj Vačok, PhD. and JUDr. Michal Dzurdzík, PhD. and lay judges JUDr. Jozef Liščák and JUDr. Eva Šajánková.
