20th anniversary of the Slovak Republic’s membership of the European Union

The President of the Supreme Administrative Court of the Slovak Republic, Pavol Naď, attended the Extraordinary Judicial Forum for Presidents of the Supreme Judicial Authorities of the Member States of the European Union from the 1st to the 3rd of May 2024. The event was organised by the Court of Justice of the European Union in Luxembourg on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the largest enlargement in the history of the EU by ten new Member States, including the Slovak Republic.

In addition to plenary workshops for participating judges and thematic seminars focusing on social policy, the protection of personal data and the use of artificial intelligence to support judicial activity, the programme also included a colloquium entitled ‘The Court of Justice celebrates the twentieth anniversary of the enlargement of the EU: a new constitutional moment for Europe’.
