Student’s Internships

On the basis of signed mutual memoranda of cooperation, the Chancellery of the Supreme Administrative Court of the Slovak Republic provides students of the Faculty of Law of the Pan-European University in Bratislava, the Faculty of Law of the Comenius University in Bratislava, the Faculty of Law of the University of Trnava in Trnava and the Faculty of Law of Pavol Jozef Šafárik University in Košice with the opportunity to undergo a free internship at the Analytical Department.

Conditions for applicants:

  • Law student who has completed at least the 1st year of bachelor’s study,
  • at least a B2 level in English, French or German,
  • previous work experience and experience in administrative law are an advantage.

Length of internship:

Normally one semester, minimum 8 hours per week.

Internship location:

Chancellery of the Supreme Administrative Court of the Slovak Republic, Trenčianska 56/A, 821 09 Bratislava.

How to apply for an internship:

The deadline for applications for the next internship is published on the website of the Supreme Administrative Court of the Slovak Republic. If you are interested in the internship, please follow the instructions on the required documents, deadline and contact for internship applications.

Selection Process:

  • Interns will be selected by a three-member selection committee of the Chancellery of the Supreme Administrative Court of the Slovak Republic headed by the Head of the Analytical Activities Department on the basis of a submitted CV, a cover letter and a drafted assignment,
  • The assignment will consist of two tasks: translation and research,
  • the assignment will be prepared by the trainee within a predefined time via Microsoft Forms.

The trainees will mainly perform some of the following professional activities:

  • monitoring of adopted Slovak legislation,
  • monitoring of the case law of the European Court of Human Rights and the Court of Justice of the European Union,
  • translation of court decisions and other documents,
  • partial tasks in the preparation of international questionnaires,
  • partial tasks in the preparation of searches and legal analyses.
