The Judges’ Forum is a colloquium organised annually to maintain the essential links between the Court of Justice and the national courts of the Member States, which, in close cooperation with the Court of Justice, apply European Union law on a day-to-day basis. This year’s forum brought together members of the Court of Justice and the General Court of the European Union, as well as representatives of the constitutional and supreme courts of all the Member States of theEU. The Supreme Administrative Court of the Slovak Republic was represented at the event by its Vice-President Marián Trenčan.

The festive programme started on 4 December 2022 with an address by the President of the Court of Justice, Koen Lenaerts, followed by a screening of a film commemorating the 70th anniversary of the founding of the CJEU. The following day, the Forum continued with three plenary sessions and seminars focusing on bringing justice closer to citizens. The representatives of the Court of Justice concluded the official programme on 6 December 2022 with a festive session, also in the presence of His Royal Highness the Grand Duke Prince Guillaume, heir apparent. This year’s speakers included, among others, the President of the Legislative Council of the Government of the Czech Republic, Michal Šalomoun, the Vice-President of the European Commission, Věra Jourová, and the Minister of Culture and Justice of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, Sam Tanson.
