The President of the Supreme Administrative Court of the Slovak Republic holds talks with the rapporteurs of the Venice Commission
The President of the Supreme Administrative Court Pavol Naď, together with the rapporteurs Nico Alivizatos, Veronika Horrer and Grigori Dikov, discussed in particular the disciplinary agenda of the Supreme Administrative Court of the Slovak Republic in proceedings against representatives of individual legal professions, in particular attorneys.
During the two-day working visit, the group of rapporteurs also met with the Minister of Justice Maria Kolíková and representatives of the Ministry of Justice of the Slovak Republic, representatives of the Judicial Council of the Slovak Republic, the Constitutional Law Committee of the National Council of the Slovak Republic, the Slovak Bar Association, and non-governmental organisations. The working visit of the group of rapporteurs of the Venice Commission took place following the request of the Minister of Justice to the Venice Commission for an opinion on issues related to the organisation of the legal profession in the Slovak Republic and the role of the Supreme Administrative Court of the Slovak Republic in disciplinary proceedings against members of the legal profession.

The adoption of the Venice Commission’s opinion on the issue is scheduled for the Venice Plenary in mid-October 2021.
