Visit to the Supreme Administrative Court of the Czech Republic

At the beginning of the meeting, the President of the Supreme Administrative Court of the Czech Republic, JUDr. PhDr. Karel Šimka, Ph.D., LL.M., warmly welcomed the representatives of the Supreme Administrative Court of the Slovak Republic and introduced the representatives of the Court who were present at the meeting. These were Mgr. Drahomíra Miléřová – Director of Court Offices, Mgr. Filip Glotzmann – Director of Administration, Mgr. Jana Humplíková – Head of Personnel Department, Mgr. Eva Kostolanská Šupej – Head of Documentation and Analytics Department, Mgr. Lucie Nechvátalová, E.MA – Assistant to the President of the Court, Bc. Sylva Dostálová – spokesperson, Mgr. Adéla Kereková – librarian.
Afterwards, the President of the Supreme Administrative Court of the Czech Republic explained the basic principles of the functioning of the highest instance in the Czech administrative judiciary, and in the context of the historical development of the Supreme Administrative Court of the Czech Republic, he underlined that in less than two months the Supreme Administrative Court of the Czech Republic will celebrate 20 years since its establishment.
After the welcome, the Head of the Chancellery of the Supreme Administrative Court of the Slovak Republic, JUDr. Zuzana Kyjac, PhD., took the floor and after introducing the individual representatives of the delegation of the Supreme Administrative Court of the Slovak Republic, namely JUDr. Martin Hlinka – Director of the Department of Judicial, Analytical and Support Activities, Mgr. Ing. Jarmila Jendrušáková – Head of the Analytical Department, Mgr. Daniel Staruch – Advisor to the President of the Supreme Administrative Court of the Slovak Republic, JUDr. Jana Oklamčák Lengyelová, PhD. – Deputy of the Office of the President of the Supreme Administrative Court of the Slovak Republic, Mgr. Ing. Katarína Ferenčáková – assistant judge and Mgr. Soňa Havlíková – legal analyst, evaluated the first year of functioning of the Supreme Administrative Court of the Slovak Republic. The Head of the Chancellery briefly explained the organisational structure of the Chancellery of the Supreme Administrative Court of the Slovak Republic, the activities of the individual organisational units and then discussed with the President of the Supreme Administrative Court of the Czech Republic various topical issues related to the administration of the Court and the administration of justice itself.
The joint meeting of all members of the two delegations was followed by a tour of the seat of the Supreme Administrative Court of the Czech Republic, which dates back to the 1870s and was originally created by joining three separate buildings. During the tour of the court premises, the Slovak representatives saw the office of the President of the Court, the hearing rooms, the plenary room, the library and the registry office. During the tour, as well as afterwards, there was an informal and very fruitful discussion between the individual members of the delegation aimed at comparing experiences and knowledge on partial issues related to their respective agendas.
Finally, the Head of the Chancellery of the Supreme Administrative Court of the Slovak Republic invited the representatives of the Supreme Administrative Court of the Czech Republic to visit the Supreme Administrative Court of the Slovak Republic, which should take place during the first quarter of the following year.
