Working meeting of the Leadership of Administrative Courts and the Supreme Administrative Court of the Slovak Republic

A working meeting of the leadership of the Administrative Courts, the Supreme Administrative Court and representatives of the Ministry of Justice of the Slovak Republic took place on 18 November 2025 at the premises of the Supreme Administrative Court. These meetings have been held periodically at several-month intervals since the establishment of the Administrative Courts in 2023. For the first time the meeting was hosted by the Supreme Administrative Court with the participation of representatives from all Administrative Courts.

Regular working meetings of the leadership of the Administrative Courts are very important for the development of independent administrative judiciary in Slovakia as well as for ensuring the quality of its performance. They serve the need to comprehensively identify problematic elements in the current functioning of the administrative judiciary and to search for the most effective solutions. The current meeting was extended to include representatives of the professional staff of court offices and was focused on indispensable topics of administrative justice such as management registers of administrative cases, methods of maintaining statistical data in administrative judicial proceedings and similar matters. The participants positive and open approach to these issues especially regarding the relationship between the three Administrative Courts, their leadership and administration was highly appreciated, commented the President of the Supreme Administrative Court Pavol Naď. The Vice-President of the Supreme Administrative Court Marian Trenčan also took part in the discussion, together with the President´s advisor, former judge of the Supreme Court of the Slovak Republic and expert in administrative judiciary, Ida Hanzelová.
