ACA-Europe

ACA-Europe is an European association composed of the Court of Justice of the European Union and the Councils of State or the highest administrative jurisdictions of each of the members of the European Union. The Supreme Court of the Slovak Republic was admitted as a member of the association at the General Assembly on 15 June 2004, after the creation of the Supreme Administrative Court of the Slovak Republic in 2021, the latter applied for membership and took over the original agenda of the Supreme Court in the association. The ACA-Europe General Assembly is held annually and a colloquium on a specific professional topic every two years, always in the presiding country. Each member completes a questionnaire answering questions on the topics covered by each colloquium. The answers are compiled into a summary report, which forms the basis for the colloquium. ACA-Europe organises a number of professional seminars and provides exchange visits for judges of the highest administrative courts each year. The main objective of the association is to promote the mutual exchange of knowledge as well as views and experience in the field of legal science, organisation and functioning of the judicial and/or advisory bodies of its members, particularly in relation to the law of the European Union. The association manages the electronic database of judicial decisions JURIFAST and DEC.NAT.
